Privacy Statement For IP CAM Controller

This statement is applicable to:

 

  • Windows 10 family all versions
  • Windows Store 8.1 all versions
  • Windows Phone 8/8.1 version number is (or after) v3.5.0

Collection and use of personal information

IP CAM Controller does not collect or publish any personal information. Sensitive information such as username and password of created cameras are being encrypted and stored at local on user's device. While user has an option to backup (upload) the camera configurations to user's OneDrive account; also able to restore (download) the same from the same OneDrive account later on. Note for Windows Phone: The Windows Phone app provides the integration of OneDrive from version v3.5.0 with a legacy one-way download option from JerryHuang.net for those who previously uploaded backup to JerryHuang.net. 

 

After you backup settings to your own OneDrive account, a folder names "IpCamController" will be created at the root of your OneDrive and please DO NOT rename, delete or change the folder name or any file inside it, otherwise ALL your settings will be ruined.

Privacy Statement For iOS version of IP CAM Controller

For version 2.0 and up

IP CAM Controller for iOS does not collect or publish any personal information. Sensitive information such as hostname, username and password of created cameras are being encrypted and stored locally at user's device. The app does provide a MANUAL function that using iCloud for backup and restore of your camera data among different iOS devices (iPhone and iPad for example). You have to use this function manually by going to Settings screen in the app. Camera settings are then uploaded to your own iCloud account that using on the iOS device.

The app is using Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertising for free users. The SDK uses IDFA under the guidelines laid out in the iOS developer program license agreement.

Below Privacy Statement is applicable to version 1.2.14 and below.

IP CAM Controller for iOS does not collect or publish any personal information. Sensitive information such as username and password of created cameras are being stored at local on user's device. The app however does support using iCloud for backup and restore of your camera data among different iOS devices (iPhone and iPad for example). You can turn on or off this feature by going to Settings -> iCloud -> iCloud Drive, and then find IP CAM Controller from the app list to switch it on or off as you like.

Privacy Statement For Android version of IP CAM Controller

IP CAM Controller for Android does not collect or publish any personal information. Sensitive information such as username and password of created cameras are being stored at local on user's device. The app however does support exporting your camera(s) as file attachment or as an encrypted hyper link (more details could be found here); but this feature is mainly for backup and restore purpose; and most importantly, it is completely triggered by user.
